Drakenstein Palliative Hospice _ How can

Helping people, help people

Providing quality palliative care to people with life-limiting and life-threatening illness in support of Quality in life and Dignity in death.

Leader in providing and supporting specialist palliative care in the greater Drakenstein disctict.

Drakenstein Palliative Hospice was started in May 1991 by a group of volunteers in response to the need for compassionate professional clinical care and support to patients living with a life-threatening illness in the Drakenstein district.

We employ Palliative Care trained professional nurses and social workers, a part-time palliative doctor and supervised, trained home-based caregivers.

We provide a free care service to an average of 220 - 250 patients per month as well as a pre-negotiated paid home-care service.
